111111 was conceived in 2021 by a collective of travel photographers, essayists, and geographers who grew fatigued by superficial top-ten lists and automated tourist corridors.
Our focus is intentional: seeking places where regional character retains its density. We celebrate hand-hewn stone lodges, indigenous wine-making methods, and trails that demand physical presence and contemplative pause.
